The Prince George Chamber of Commerce runs three Committees open to membership on a volunteer basis. Each of these working committees are created to Connect, Engage and Enhance the membership experience.
The Advocacy Committee works to address critical issues by moving member’s business interests forward to government.
The Advocacy Committee creates, publishes and reviews the responses from the annual Advocacy Survey of the membership to ensure key areas of concern from the business community are addressed in all advocacy efforts. Local news is also monitored regularly for potential advocacy issues
The Communications Committee works to improve communication between Board members, Chamber members and the Chamber better utilize the media in Prince George.
Communications refers to the way in which the Chamber of Commerce promotes, educates and informs members and non-members about the Chamber of Commerce and its benefits to businesses using one or more of the following mediums:
- Print Media
- Social Media
Service Delivery Committee
The Service Delivery Committee develops and manages events, which generate non-dues revenue for the Chamber of Commerce. The committee is involved from start to finish, which includes brainstorming new ideas, then developing those ideas into viable events. Once the event has been decided, the committee works together to make the event a reality. This includes designing and managing the events with help from staff, and for some larger events, an Event Planner.
