Prince George, January 8, 2016 – The BC Chamber of Commerce and Prince George Chamber of Commerce are jointly hosting a Business Development Forum that will focus on topics relevant to small and medium businesses serving and supplying the natural resource sector, January 19th, in Prince George.
“Opportunities for small businesses in Northern BC are there for the taking, this forum will provide insights on the current business development opportunities within their reach,” said Jon Garson, president and CEO of the BC Chamber of Commerce. “We planned this Northern BC Business Development Forum to coincide with the Premier’s BC Natural Resources Forum because it creates an excellent opportunity to further connect local and regional businesses with major project proponents.”
“We are pleased to host this event alongside the BC Chamber,” said Christie Ray, CEO of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce. “Small businesses are the economic drivers of our community and our goal is to provide local and regional small business access to information and ideas for easy implementation on current capital projects, and also provide insights on how to get a piece of them.”
The ‘On the Ground’ Business Development Forum runs from 8:30am – 3:15pm at the Coast Inn of the North, Prince George, January 19. Sessions will feature industry experts speaking on current resource development projects, small business grants, navigating HR trends, and finding success in a changing economy.
