Prince George, June 23, 2015– The search is underway once again for Prince George’s top difference-makers. The Prince George Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2016 ‘Top 40 under 40.’ This initiative was introduced by the Chamber in 2012 to support young professionals, and showcase the innovative and inspiring people who live and work in Prince George. The finalists will be celebrated in the ‘Top 40 under 40’ publication, which will be distributed to businesses and organizations throughout B.C. This glossy, full-colour magazine will include pictures and bios of Prince George’s best and brightest entrepreneurs, managers, executives and professionals. This will be the first publication since the Chamber decided to hold the initiative every two years.
“Excitement has been building for the next ‘Top 40 under 40.’ We have received a number of inquiries about when the nominations will open,” says Chamber CEO Christie Ray, “This reflects both the interest in the community in celebrating our exceptional, youthful talent, and the depth of that talent in Prince George.”
Nominees will be short listed based on a range of criteria, including professional achievement, experience, innovation, leadership and community involvement. The judges will be looking primarily at professional success. The nominee’s education, community service, participation in industry and business associations, and awards will also be taken into consideration.
“We are looking for impressive individuals who are ahead of their time from a broad range of industries and fields,” says Chamber President Cindi Pohl, “This initiative showcases the diversity of young talent in our community.”
Nominations for the 2016 ‘Top 40 under 40’ are open until July 10, 2015, and can be submitted on the Chamber website:
